I quite like this but a lot of my friends hate it.

It sounds like really dark surfer rock and that really appeals to me.

i like it a lot more than i thought i would. i was thinking how awesome it would be to see a field full of people at Splendour, jumping to that point where the drums and heavy guitar kick in at the start.

then they didnt get announced. oh well.

I quite like the song, but the lyrics are terrible.

Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair sounds like the kind of parody lyric/song Andrew Hansen would have come up with for The Blow Parade.

I've always considered the biggest strength of the Arctic Monkeys to be their lyrics so it is disappointing that this is where they've ended up.

I really like it, but I agree with BH, the chorus lyrics are just bizarre.

i dunno, i actually quite liked the metaphor in the lyrics - its like, "feel free to do all sorts of bad stuff, and crazy stuff, and nonsense, but don't get too comfortable with me, cause i'll change things up (ie dump you)."

this is probably my biggest annoyance at the recent monkeys stuff, his naive notions about middle class society or about anything really - spured the first two albums and are pretty sporadic in humbug, and with this and brick by brick you can tell there'll probably next to nothing (mind you piledriver waltz has good lyrics) on suck it and see. Mind you that won't stop me buying the record, it's still good music.

didn't like it much at first, i wanted another album like whatever people say i am... but it has grown so much on me. i really like it

if you want another album like whatever people say i am...here is what you do. you listen to the album once through then you turn the bass up and the treble down then listen again. and you have yourself an album like whatever people say i am....magic!
