Paul Dempsey is set to release his first solo album Everything Is True this August 14th. The Something For Kate frontman takes us behind the scenes of the recording process and gives a sneak peak of what is to come.

LOL.
I was so into Something For Kate when I was fifteen or so.
I remember spouting ridiculous hyperbole about them being the best band in the history of Australia.

I want to go back in time and punch myself in the face.

I kinda thought the same thing until I caught Paul D testing out his solo stuff on a Troubadour audience last year... After that, I'd be unlikely to miss an opportunity to see him live, as it's a very different experience to the recorded...

i've been a fan of the bands since i saw them on the unipaloser tour with bluebottle kiss and jebediah in '96. they are yet to bore me. to see dempsey play a solo gig is a truly awesome experience. i have convert many a doubter over the years. his new stuff is probably his best work to date. go paul!!! hungry for more.

great gig last night, not the awe-inspiring, heart-wrenching show that ive seen him do in the past, but it was relaxed and laidback, pity the crowd didnt seem to get into it very much...
