Way back in February of 2006 Grinspoon assembled in the studio to begin work on their fifth album – fifteen months later the band finally emerged with their follow up to the hugely successful Thrills, Kills and Sunday Pills.

The album, Alibis and Other Lies sees the band return to their roots, even employing Ramesh Sathiath – the producer responsible for their sound on the band’s ever first EP back in ‘95. The result is an uptempo release that is sure to please fans of the band’s classic sound and delivers a reinvigorated Grinspoon

Indeed a lot has changed for Grinspoon in the past decade. These days the tight knit group reside in four different cities, across two sates. Band meetings are often conducted via email and face to face time is a rarity. Says Jamison – “There are emo bands – but we’re an email band”

Fasterlouder recently caught up with the Grinners to talk about the band’s new album.
