What a year it has been for Acid Eyeliner! Exploding onto the music scene with their debut EP - Penny Lane, they received commercial airplay, toured nationally, and now the highly anticipated release of their  DVD – Live at the Metro is here, putting you in the front row.

The boys quickly gained national attention, and picked up rotation on Sydney’s Nova 969 radio station with their single Penny Lane, from the EP of the same name. A video clip has just been shot for the song, and fans will be very pleased to know, it is almost ready for release..

Delighting audiences right around the country with their energetic and entertaining shows, Acid Eyeliner have collected a strong following here, and have a growing international fanbase as well.

Keen to capture the passion and energy of their live set, Acid Eyeliner decided to film the sold out launch of their EP at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on July 1st 2006.

Lukey Lukess, Murray Danger and Sam Clayton take you on a one hour rock and roll rollercoaster, pumping out thirteen tracks that will have you out of your seat and calling for an encore.

The DVD includes the hit Pennylane, Scream Your Name, Leave Me Alone, an acoustic version of Over Without You and of course, the crowd favourite, Kissing you in the Driveway.

No Acid Eyeliner show would be complete without a crazy drum solo from the one and only Murray Danger. Phil Bowley from the Candy Harlets even makes a guest appearance on guitar.

The band are currently working on a special single that will hopefully be available before the end of the year, so keep an eye out for it. Their album will follow early 2007.

Acid Eyeliner has managed to achieve all this unsigned and self funded. It won’t be long before they are snapped up with a record deal and taking the world by storm. Racking up over 110 gigs this year, they are definitely doing the Aussie rock scene proud.

If you haven’t been to an Acid Eyeliner gig yet – where have you been? Head to their website to check the gig guide and pick up a copy of their live DVD and EP. Myspace.com/acideyeliner
