The Daybridges - TheDaybridges

The four-piece Daybridges hail from that great city in the north called Brisvegas.
I slid the 5 song EP into my CD player for a bit of a listen at work, not knowing what to expect from these guys. The first song ‘I Want You’ contains a big sound, rock crossed with blues on the slab in some sort of Frankenstein combination. It was excellent; after listening to it the first-time, flicking back straight away to listen to it again.
Track two ‘Move That Thing’ was more of the same dirty blues rock combination. Whilst having that dirty blues sound, this EP sounds well produced, the vocals are clear and the lead singer has a great, strong voice.
The third song starts off with a very catchy riff and continues on from there. Titled Blues For Molly, their web site says ‘not to ask who molly is.’ Well, who ever she is, she has provided the material for a great song.
It is not often you put an unknown CD from an unknown band and get a great surprise. The Daybridges EP was exactly that and very welcome addition to my current high-rotation list. If this is any indication of the music coming out Brisvegas at the moment we can only expect bigger and great things from the Daybridges. This is an independent release so if you want some more information (and you should ‘cause they rock) check out their site at www.thedaybridges.com
