Paul Mac - LoveDeclaration

The master of catchy dance-pop anthems is at work here again with the third single from his acclaimed Panic Room album. Love Declaration has an infectious beat and a universal warmth to it. The track was written in Amsterdam and is about being away from that special person, and how your mind deals with the space and time apart.
The European atmosphere is definitely in play here, and possibly a timely reason to release such a track around Valentine’s Day and the Sydney Mardi Gras. All the party elements are in action, glitter is sprinkled throughout, and sparkle fingers rise up in declaration. There is a cha-cha chorus line movement happening, as well as electronic maracas and xylophone beats resonating throughout. There are sweet vocal harmonies and a feeling of unity is embraced. The easily adaptable lyrics, “Im coming home to you, with an open invitation…” had me singing along from the first listen. Particular mention must go to the female vocalist who makes this song what it is. New Zealand soul sensation Aaradhna weaves her beautiful voice through this love parade with a big smile and strong character.
Love Declaration is not particularly unique or original sounding but it doesn’t matter. Paul Mac has once again released a song of excellent production and wide appeal. Uplifting and inoffensive, this track would also be well placed on television or advertising.
