Calling All Cars have established themselves as one of the best young rock bands in Australia, touring with every influential Australian rock band from Grinspoon and The Butterfly Effect and recently supporting AC/DC on their Black Ice tour.

Their highly-anticipated debut album is filled with fresh and edgy rock’n’roll. Listening to the record, it is easy to see how Calling All Cars built up a loyal fan base. There are few flaws on Hold, Hold, Fire ; it flows from start to finish.

From the opening chords of Disconnect, the energy of the music draws the listener in. The catchy lyrics combined with the power riffs make it a very easy to put this album on repeat. The standout songs of the album are the Disconnect, Animal and the title track Hold, Hold, Fire.

Long time Calling All Cars fans will remember Animal off one of the band’s earlier EP’s. It has been re-recorded and will absolutely blow you away. Another track to check out is Liar Liar Liar, a fast-paced little gem that will have you rocking along in no time.

The vocals from Haydn Ing are a good mix of rock, grunge and punk and each song is written well and the maturity in the album is an obvious testament to the many hours spent on the road and in the rehearsal studio perfecting their craft.

Calling All Cars have released a great first album and have set a solid foundation on which they can further build their careers and their fan base, and continue to be one of the premier live acts around the nation.
