The D4 - What I Want

THIS is what teenagers should be rocking out to. This song screams of teenage wastoid indecision. It’s the simplicity of the lyrics and crunching riffs that makes this song a killer tune. From its toe-tapping, stripped back intro, What I Want starts with the question that rings through everyone’s head every morning:
Should I get up?
Or sleep all day?
The D4’s second single to be released off Out of My Head will probably get a heads up from a wider audience mainly because of its infectious chorus belted out by vocalist Jimmy and backed-up with some screeching “yeahs” from guitarist Dion.

Maybe its you, maybe its somebody new
Despite the lyrics downbeat and negative banter, What I Want is the kind of nihilistic party pounding song to slam dance to at your housewarming. Or even air guitar to, aping Dion’s blistering guitar solo whammy bar and all. And do the dishes to, and the laundry, and [insert task here].
No sign of second-album-syndrome for these leather clad rockers. After their upcoming gig supporting The Hives’ April tour in Europe as well as their own gigs in the UK, The D4 will be back this way for an official tour promoting Out of My Head.
