Terriffic would be an appropriate first response if this were the sixties and labelled as a new Beatles record. Carrying on from their last effort This is Grand Atlantic, How We Survive continues classic hooks and grooves that may interest Stone Roses fans.

The listener is dragged into early nineties psychadelia from track opener Coast Is Clear. She’s A Dreamer, the first single to be released has all the elements of a beautiful Stone Roses song. Just Another Ghost Town is a must hear and a hit prediction. One of the harder rocking songs on the album is Addictive Pattern – a great rocking masterpiece sure to please a crowd.
How We Survive’s psychedelia is not an original sound but the overall progression of the album leads you to discover Grand Atlantic ’s own style of up beat pop reminiscent of Kaiser Chiefs or Regurgitator. The album is a journey that not too many bands are prepared to take you on these days. For fans of Oasis, Jesus & the Mary Chain, and The Vines, How We Survive is rewarding listen opposed to all the emo-stained bulls#*t flooding the scene.
