Rocket Science - EternalHoliday

Eternal Holiday is the first single from Australian pop-rockers Rocket Science off their new album of the same title, out now through Modular. Singer/songwriter Roman Tucker said “I was thinking a lot about life and death when we wrote this one. I felt like death was around the corner, creeping up on me”.
Despite the morbid undertones that inspired the song, it carries a surprisingly upbeat feeling overall with only a slight sense of gloom seeping in through the lyrics.
The track starts with a sharp guitar riff that sounds uncannily like a warped rendition of Nirvana’s Come As You Are. However the band soon change direction, with the opening vocals blending a traditional Brit-pop style with a unique Australian spin, backed up by a heavily distorted bass line and funky drum beat.
The band’s true stoner rock influences come out of the woodwork for the chorus as they delve comfortably into a soothing melody with a strong keyboard hook.
Rocket Science are currently embarking on a national tour so check them out for yourself if you are in the mood for some rock you can really dance to.
