Good Shoes - Think BeforeYou Speak
Mon 10th Sep, 2007 in Music Reviews
Good Shoes are an emerging British indie pop band, Coming fresh from Morden, London. The four piece are gaining good credibility for there fun/ technical guitar pop. They formed in 2004 and have had five singles to date, with the release of their album Think Before You Speak out through Brille records this year. They are set to tour the U.K with Maximo Park.
This album is a mix between fun upbeat indie tracks and fun Sunday driving tunes. The song Blue Eyes reminded me of lemonade and snacks on the patio… but in a good way. Whereas tracks like The Photos On My Wall make you want to get up and dance and twirl little streamers around your fingers with hot pretty girls.
I like the way this album has been written. The lyrics are smart and your mind is waiting to see what they will say next.
Still, this album didn’t hit me straight away, but after a few plays it does leave you wanting more.
