“To the kids outside the venue who aint on the doorlist” is indeed a quote from This Is For You by Bliss N Eso and it couldn’t have been more apt last Saturday night at Metropolis Concert Club when this kid was left outside after half of the door list went missing. But all wasn’t lost…

After missing the first thirty minutes of Bliss N Eso’s set, the sympathetic girl on the door granted me access in time to catch the lads blasting out Eye of the Storm, and swirling their sweat towels as they hyped up the sold-out crowd, before running into Bullet and a Target.

The Sea is Rising had the crowd singing along, there were even crowd surfers getting down to the hip hop beats, which is rather senseless and dangerous; keep ya feet on the ground lads!

Bliss N Eso ran through the hip hop chants, dividing the crowd into Bliss’s side and Eso’s side, the chants and cheers erupting, always at the forefront for this feel good act, crowd interaction aplenty.

After a small intermission they returned with latest single Down by the River and all in attendance went nuts and lapped it up, the perfect soundtrack for a sold out club giving its all.

The Sydney-siders left the stage for the final time only to spend the next hour signing merchandise and posing for photos with fans on the second level, good to see, all in all, a solid performance.
