After 3 back to back performances in the Spiegeltent in the Garden of Unearthly Delights, Lowrider headed on stage to a very different crowd, back to their usual energetic style of performing, with much more room to move.
The Tent was intimate and a great experience, but limited the performance in many ways. Crowd favourites Riverside , Other Lovely Things and Be Bad had heads moving and new fans made. Way to short a set for such a great local band.

The Funkoars were next up, and straight down to business since for some strange reason they also only had a 30 minute set.
Making the best of a sad situation, The Oars gave their all to the screaming crowd, with The Hangover and a remix of Reign on the Masses kicking things off before a quick break as DJ Reflux showed his skills on the decks.
Looking a little stiff, Ash Grunwald (supported by Tour Manager Extraordinaire Faculty) joined the party for Little Did I Know bouncing his way around the stage before being stored again safely back stage, waiting for his next outing. One day, we will hopefully see the real Ash join the Oars in Adelaide.
As the beat for What I Want sounded, I looked hopefully towards the stage, this time KNOWING that Suffa was close enough to take part. Again, let down.
The Funkoars closed out their set with What’s Your Malfunction – 30 minutes, 10 songs and a whole lotta energy frm the local boys making their mark.

Midnight Juggernauts were, in my opinion, the strangest most misplaced addition to this line up that could have ever existed. This opinion was apparently shared by many. The Melbourne band is an Electropop/Dance act;
This could possibly have worked, with the Guitarist and Drummer putting in a fantastic effort, if the lead singer hadn’t walked out looking half asleep and whinged his way through the set.

His vocals at times were horrible and i couldn’t wait to see the end of them. Neither, it seemed, could the crowd, with bottles and cans missing his head by a very small margin. Probably a fantastic band in their own right, but jammed in between 2 of Adelaide’s favourite Hip Hop acts, they served only to bring down the atmosphere that Lowrider and Funkoars had worked to create.

The Return welcomed the Hilltop Hoods to the stage, with Pressure, Suffa and DJ Debris again welcomed home to a massive roar from the crowd.

Still Standing followed, with Pressure showing his skill at speed at the end of the track.
Recapturing the Vibe and Nosebleed Section of course made an appearance, how would all those newer fans be able to survive if they hadn’t heard it?

Chris Farley was ended with a visual rememberence of those mentioned in the track. Pressure then slowed it down with Last Confession.
The original Intro for The Hard Road sounded, before playing the better known version of the track. The Light That You Burned played ,

Then there was one more track, which of course had to be Chase That Feeling. The Hoods left the stage, leaving the crowd screaming for more.

Finally, after a few moments, they ran back on to the stage, this time wearing black hoodies, as the opening bars to Hillatoppa sounded. The music cut out and Suffa, Debris and Pressure faced the back of the stage as Hill-A-Toppa lit up across their backs, from led lights in the jackets. Still an awesome sight.

Clown Prince was as usual kicked off with Suffa and Pressure picking someone out of the crowd and announcing ‘It’s Your Round’ this time making a young fans night.

This show had a different vibe, with the usual Hip Hop crowd mixing with those just sticking around after the races. The amount of people out supporting our local boys was incredible, and hopefully some of those who would not normally see acts like these live will now be converted.
