The crowd was as expected for a rainy Sunday night in Melbourne but that didn’t stop the loyal Twelve Foot Ninja followers from coming out to support the band. As soon as the stage was graced with their presence, the crowd seemed to leave their comfort zone near the bar and approach the barrier fence.

The sound at Billboard was massive and most opted for ear plugs. The Ninjas dressed up for the occasion, wearing the trademark Ninja outfits complete with white contact lenses.

Their unique blend of rock, funk, dub and metal cant really be classified into any particular genre and the band has to be respected for their unique style and ability to impress even the most closed minded audiences.

Twelve Foot Ninja played songs off their EP New Dawn as well as a few new songs, equally as impressive. A lot of the songs seem to start light and then build into crazy riffs and brutal sounds. Each song tells a different story and has a different resonance than the last, which inspired different reactions from the crowd with the dedicated fans singing every word as if it were a religion.

Twelve Foot Ninja have an amazing fan base already, hopefully airplay will help them achieve the recognition this eclectic, independent and self funded band deserve.
