One Movement Snippets -Special Brew

Ska merchants Special Brew were a ton of fun decked out in black and white finery that let everyone walking into the showcase festival know it might pay to stop and skank. More than a few did, putting on a show that had some members the band leaving their woodchip-pile of a stage and joining in.
The chipperly-delivered upbeat major-key tracks from this seven-piece were spot-on fringe material. A cheeky political slant to songs like Vegemite were balanced with the pure joy of form heard in Ska Beat and bunch of others. The catch-cry of “skank up your feet” needed no repeating. Joyful!
