Indian four-piece Pentagram know how to rock. People who didn’t catch this set missed out on a confident and polished act who are nothing less than Mammal’s sub-continental equivalent, with a few synths and samples added to the mix. The water-pistol toting shade-seekers under the cover of the Breakthrough stage were treated to a killer run of tunes.
“Nice of you guys to come out, – œcause it’s hot as fuck, isn’t it?” asked frontman Vishal Dadlani – a guy who is apparently a respected Bollywood composer when he’s not pulling devil’s horns and working the crowd. He was right; it was hot, but he still managed to get a call-and-response sing back from punters who’d mostly never heard them before, which is no mean feat.
Pentagram – if they come back any time soon – are worth seeing and would slot into festival runs easily. More power to – œem.
