It was another huge week in Perth for music lovers, and FasterLouder was there to capture it all for your voyeuristic pleasure;

Parkway Drive’s pit was so hard that there was actual blood shed and first aid required by one punter whose crowd surf turned into a wipe-out as he bashed his skull against the speaker and then was dumped onto the stage. TheRoute777 caught it all on film so you can see it in the gallery. On Tuesday Stumbeline got his Thrills with Sparkadia at Amplifier whilst Antzpantz took photos of it all. Thursday saw Jimmy ‘Clinkerfield’ Stewart join with the Kill Devil Hills at the Norfolk Basement for a bit of a hootnanny which you can read about here and you can see the pictures The Route777 took of Jebediah’s bassist, Vanessa, oh, and some of the gig here

Black Friday saw a stack of bands thumbing their noses at superstition, as they competed in the Next Big Thing Heat at the Rocket Room and Fasterlouder’s Wombo took the shots. Cut Copy sliced up the Amplifier Bar, whilst Stuo put them, and maybe you, in the gallery.

Sugar Army, Schvendes, Eleventh He Reaches London, Day of the Dead and surprise guest Jeff Martin were just begging for some bad luck as they dressed up in horror theme for RTRFM’s Winter Festival. Once again, Schvendes took the brunt of the Black Friday luck, as their sound was plagued by gremlins during set up, and the need for a real keyboard stand instead of a collapsible table became evident, not once, but twice during the set. Read about how they overcame lady luck, and how the others fared as well, then look at the spiffy costumes in Ali’s gallery. The Thrills and Sparkadia were down in Margaret River giving the gossips’ tongues something to wag about and keeping klaradesigns busy as she recorded it all for Fasterlouder.

On Saturday in Scarborough, Wombo was out again capturing more next big things for your pervy pleasure, New Rules for Boats were sailing at the Amplifier with words by leonhartilly and pictures by williamb Stumbeline and Ubiq were celebrating Juicebox’s first birthday all weekend along with Colours, End of Fashion, Mile End, Blackmilk and more, that you can read about, or look at Ubiq’s pics* And if you want more details about Colours’ final gig, read Ubiq’s account,
and look at the full gallery.

Rest up tonight chickens, because this week is going to be even bigger! We have The Mars Volta, Harry Manx,The Presets, Powderfinger, Jeff Martin, Next Big Thing Heat #5, The Audreys, Next Big Thing Heat #6, Dukes Of Windsor, Angelspit, Barry Adamson, The Scandal and The Black Keys all coming at you before the week is done.
