Feature Artist
Last Of The Believers – You Get What You Give [Amphead]
The name Last Of The Believers may not yet be instantly recognisable, but when you consider that their lineup features past members of Rise Against, Ignite, Reach The Sky and Spark Of Life, it wont be long until they’re a punk and hardcore household name. The five piece, who are basing themselves in LA, are fronted by Steve Jennings of Spark Of Life and Chris Chasse of Rise Against. With each of the band’s members having had such a strong history in the scene, the interest in their debut EP – œPaper Ships Under A Burning Bridge’ has been high. We recently caught up with Steve as he kicked back at his studio in LA, speaking about overcoming the success of their previous bands, and what they have in store for their debut album.

Raveonettes – Dead Sound [Amphead]
Lifted off Danish duo the Raveonettes’ stunning new album – œLust Lust Lust’. The LP has seen the band score rave reviews everywhere from The Guardian to NME, so it’s clear that their decision to part ways with their major label home at Sony Columbia didn’t impact on their career too greatly. You’ll be able to catch the Raveonettes live in April when they tour for the first time since visiting as part of the Laneway Festival in 2006.

Boom Boom Satellites – Intergalactic [Amphead]
It’s not often we get to feature music from Japan in the FasterLouder podcasts, but when we heard the latest album from Boom Boom Satellites we knew we had to include it. It’s interesting stuff indeed, and it has a real crossover sound, with the band having played some of the world’s finest festivals, such as Glastonbury, Leeds and Fuji Rock, as well as supporting Underworld, Fatboy Slim and Moby. So, if you like your rock with an electronic influence, be sure to check out the album – œExposed’.

Harrisons – Dear Constable [Melodic]
Springing from Sheffield, the same UK city that gave us the Arctic Monkeys, the Harrisons are hotly tipped to do big things in 2008. Listening to their debut album – œNo Fighting In The War Room’, you can definitely see why they’re already being compared to UK heavyweights like Maximo Park and Hard-Fi.
