Ok, so it's not music, except that a room full of strangers laughing is sort of musical, and the support act played a ukelele song about knees, Still "Can I briefly talk to you about the point of life?" could change the world just the way music can.

As well as doing their bit for pop diversity, bands Bluejuice and The Paper Scissors have between them, the most adorable dimples in Australian music today. The population is just one grin and lopsided gaze away from complete subjugation, so when you join the audience of either of these bands, be prepared to, as Bluejuice puts it, dance in a retarded way.

There were high hopes for the sx-headed lineup at the Railway Hotel on Saturday, headlined by The Silents, a band everyone has seen live by now, and who have a reputation for encouraging a shout-along among fans. Uncharacteristically though, they ended up ‘rockin’ the Railway’ to sleep and living up to their name for a change.

There are really only so many times one person should review a band before it begins to look like the reviewer is on the payroll, Schvendes is one of those bands unfortunately, so there will be no lyrical waxing over their Friday performance.
