I love music of many shapes and colours. I love to get those shapes and colours and write about them. I'm lazy at meditation and like the idea that playing music is a form of meditation. I like to pretend i'm a rock god on my guitar and bobby singh on my indian tablas. I have to have therapy as every time I see the rage symbol I get "RAGE " that i was in the final top 5 to host rage this year but wasn't the one sitting on the couch! So close, yet only one song played. Which was wicked n' weird, BUCK 65.
I love writing. I love music. I like using my words in a poetic style fused with some clear descriptions. The street press stressed me out a little... so I like the idea of a web site! There isn't a limit to black and white prints of photos and only three reviews get thru!!! I would like to share my ideas of reviews, interviews and stories with the cool team of fasterlouder.
I have written for brag over the years doing reviews, editorial and interviews. I like to write without cliche terms and this really makes my brain stay active! I love looking back in my folders and seeing all the diverse gigs, cds and people i have written about! When I was younger teaches always thought my stories I wrote were a little bit out there and one year I was a runner up for Syd Morning Herald young writer of the year. I usually do reviews and I like to mix up some background knowledge of the artist/s, some technical observations and how I can best describe how it sounded and felt to me. Not everyone is a music guru... god... i'm not either... so I try to not write in a language that doesn't leave people going... "what the heck were those 500 words trying to say?"
