Hey I’m Nicholasth, Nicowen or just simply Nic; whatever rolls. I live in Perth, studying film at uni, working as a musician in a band (The Brow) and filmmaker for a Fremantle / Sydney based production company. I also get Centrelink! … Ladies! I pretty much indulge my income on all aspects of music: festivals, gigs, CDs, band equipment, t shirts and food (all very important aspects of music :P)
If it isn’t obvious, film and music are my equal passions; I like to get down and dirty and write a funky tune, dance the night away to everyone else’s and just let music saturate me in its dirty, funky goodness.
There are loads of awesome left of centre films out there if you know where to look! Luna and seasonal festival films expose us to so many amazing films and cultures from around the word. There are so many inspiring directors who produce brilliant works which continuously slip under the mainstream radar but bring such brilliant cinema to our eyes.
I think a beer and a bunch of mates is a blessing and a free spirit will always makes me warm and fussy. I love seeing people who embrace life, are happy and comfortable with themselves and I always strive to join them (on my good days anyway :P).
I love life, my wonderful awesome friends, our little get togethers, new people I meet on our adventures, the beach, the sun, the rain, thunderstorms, balmy midnights, the theatre and lots of reading as I ramble around on public transport.
I want to explore this wide, diverse beautiful world; travel and lose myself in cities, meet new people with stories to share and a whole lot of wisdom and new and wonderful things to teach.
