I love checkin out local 'berra gigs, eating cake and don't mind a glass of bubbly...or two...
The first album I ever bought was Green Day's Dookie on cassette when I was 11 'cos I loved what I saw/heard on Rage and Triple J.
It cost me an outrageous $9.95 and I flogged that one on my clock radio come tape player 'til the tape eventually got chewed :(
I grew up listening to random cassette tapes I'd find around the house including Queen, The Everly Brothers (what the?), Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel, John Farnham (don't ask), Dolly Parton (still love her, just quietly), Deep Purple etc...
The first concert I ever went to was at the Metro in Perth in Year 9 to see Frenzal Rhomb and Less Than Jake. Some of my fave live highlights that I remember include - when I was being squashed up the front to see Carl Cox at the Gold Coast Big Day Out 2005, seeing The Music at the aforementioned fest, getting a serious tan at The Grates and Em Dee at Southbound in WA in 2006, The Tremors, JBT and Powderfinger at Brisbane's Riverside in 2006, George and JBT at Splendour in the Grass in 2002 (the lineup has since been better and I still keep missing out waaaa), The Foo Fighters, The Waifs, Deftones at Gold Coast BDO 2003, The Presets at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne in 2006 and lots more that I can't remember...
Live music, foreign films, cake, AFL, world/local news, Nathan, bubbly, croissants, shopping online, goss, collecting vintage stuff and records, winning on ebay, Russh, wasting time on the net
Placebo, PJ Harvey, Little Birdy, Muscles, The redsunband, Lady Sovereign, Young and Restless, Muse, Peaches, The Audreys, Holly Throsby, Bloc Party, Carole King, Hole, Skulker, Waikiki, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, New Young Pony Club, The Presets, MIA, Wolfmother, Howling Bells
