Born and bred in Balmain (the insular penisular - back when it was filled with wharfies and houses under a million bucks), Bec was a happy innocent little kid until her parents uprooted and moved to Melbourne. She got used to frost, traffic rules that made sense and kick ass cafes.
It was in the late hours of a school day in some computing class when Bec's friend let her listen to this band she was raving about. It was Propagandhi. And ever since that day she was hooked on everything punk, hardcore, post-punk, post-post-hardcore and whatever came next. She got herself an ID and spent the next five years going to gigs every weekend (usually at The Green Square), getting bruised shins and generally winning at life.
She picked up a guitar but didn't really get past Come As You Are or 1979 because her teacher preferred dirty jokes over chords. None of which have come in handy unfortunately ...
