Hi there and welcome to my profile. My name is Justine de Jonge and I'm a FasterLouder Contributor.
So, I guess this is the bit where I have to tell you about myself and why I'm here. Well, apart from my contributions here in the illustrious world of FL, I contribute to Melbourne's infamous streetpress rag Beat Magazine, the website for Melbourne's community radio station 106.7 PBSFM and the station's respective subscriber magazine Easey as well as an awesome Sydney based website called Bombshellzine. I also try to blog my little heart out at www.melbournezene.wordpress.com .
When I'm not writing, editing, gig listing, interviewing and reviewing, I'm generally found either in front of my stereo listening to CDs, watching music-related DVDs in front of the tube or down in the trenches of an insane moshpit at any one of Melbourne's incredible live venues. Just check out my pic above as proof. See the black bag? Scary, huh?
While my taste in music stretches far and wide, I'm particularly partial to metal, hardcore, punk and hard rock. I'm insanely passionate about Australian independent bands and I also get a nervous twitch every time I'm not doing something music related. Ha! Yeah right!! Now you get the gist - I am absolutely fanatical about music.
Feel free to email me any time if you're bored, or you want to share your passion for music and FL, or if you just have a desirable need to bag me out. There's an email field somewhere here (plus a shoutout box!) so you can send your messages of love, hate and indifference. Heck, I might even email you back! Woohoo! Erh...
Anyway, thanks for your time and be sure to support your local music scene. That's why bands tour here. Without it, we're lame and boring.
