Listening to Cuthbert & the Nightwalkers play is like rollicking through the open meadows upon yon mountain high, humming sweet gypsy love songs to the bees in the lavender while the larks swoon o’erhead (and yes, that’s a deliberate ye-olde-word, not a typo).

It’s hard to compete with the sheer wall of destruction pummelling the QUT Guild Bar tonight with Slipknot and Machine Head doing their best to tear Brisbane’s Riverstage apart. However, Little Red are boy scouts and do their best to convince us that they too, know how to tear it up.

Scottish trio BIFFY CLYRO is substance over style. Anyone who knows this band will be thrilled at the news that the band are finally coming to Australia.
There aren’t that many great American rock acts still around – but Foo Fighters are one of the few that can still lay claim to the mantle.
The John Steel Singers have an aversion to sleeping in their own beds. They’ve just announced a national headline tour in November.
