All About Me
Originally from Pennsylvania, US, I moved to Sydney in 2000.
Concert photography and reviewing is a hobby of mine, one I still have a lot to learn about (and spend a lot of money pursuing).
I grew up listening to the classic rock my parents loved. I knew all the Tom Petty songs on the radio. At thirteen, my aunt loaned me her acoustic guitar and I started taking lessons. Then I found Led Zeppelin. For the next few years, no other musicians mattered. What was the point in listening to anything else? Nothing could be better. It took some coaxing but I eventually fell in love with the Smashing Pumpkins, and then Tori Amos. My teen years were spent immersed in this music almost exclusively. These days I branch out a bit more, but I still hold these bands dear.
I like music that makes the world seem more interesting, or makes me want to dance around in my underwear.
