Anwar Rizk is one of the leading heavy metal and hard rock photographer’s based in Melbourne, Australia. Anwar first started photographing local Melbourne metal bands during his adolescences with a simple digital still camera.
After spending some time behind the dimly lit LED screen of a digital still camera. Anwar decided to progress into unknown territory and purchase his first DSLR camera. Since then, Anwar has progressed through the ranks of music aficionados and photographers within the scene and is regarded as a sort after photographer of the heavy metal genre.
Anwar has photographed numerous local and international tours, including Metallica, Iron Maiden, Soulfly, Steel Panther, Blind Guardian, Destruction, Megadeth, Def Leppard, Tool, Trivium, Opeth and numerous others. He has also photographed music festivals including, Soundwave (Australia), Wacken Open Air (Germany), Summer Breeze (Germany) and numerous others.
