Marky D hasn‘t been that busy around these here parts
All About Me
Marky D is a singer-songwriter-guitarist who resides in Sydney, Australia. Originally from the Philippines, he first settled in Albury, a country area on the border of NSW and Victoria.
He is inspired by artists such as John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bon Jovi and Jeff Buckley, resulting in songs that have an acoustic, bluesy quality, lyrical-mystery, mainstream yet artistic appeal.
He has performed live on local television, including a music video that appeared on ABC’s “Rage†program.
Marky D released his first 3-track demo on May 2009 titled “Save It For A Rainy Day†which he also produced entirely. He exposed the title track on national radio with a live acoustic solo performance. A music video is planned for the second track, "All That Jazz". The song has also acquired national airplay.
Marky D also studied Audio Engineering in college. Marky D is a DIY artist and highly believes in the DIY philosophy of taking charge of his music and promotion. He feels this is a necessity due to the changing face of the music industry and feels it's the only way he can improve his own 'artist development'.
