It turns out the perfect way to celebrate the end of four and a half years at university is with cheap champagne and a hoedown. Luckily for me, Thursday night saw sparkling and foot stomping aplenty as Ruby Boots danced into Transit Bar, accompanied by Triple J Unearthed Winners The Ellis Collective and home-grown Canberra boys The Wedded Bliss.

On the 13th of May, hordes of under-dressed party-animals swarmed onto the green fields of UC, ready to rage on into the bitter night at Groovin’ the Moo. The little groovers provided a remarkable contrast to the Colorado and Kathmandu clad crowd snuggled into the Street Theatre café, rugged up to the nines with red wines in hand, ready to see New Zealand songstress Bic Runga.
