Parkway Drive: new album andtour on the Horizons

Byron Bay’s masters of metalcore, Parkway Drive will release their new album Horizons on October 6. To coincide with the release, Parkway Drive will be hitting the road for the Horizons Tour , their first national tour since November 2006.

Once again produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist and renowned metal producer Adam Dutkiewicz ( Underoath , Killswitch Engage , As I Lay Dying , Unearth ) and recorded at Zing Studios in Massachusetts, Horizons awakens the inner-beast with an enthralling avalanche of sound from breakneck precise guitar riffs and palpitating blast beats to haunting demonic vocals. Horizons ’ brutal mix of metal and hardcore excels with a collection of songs which are enough to have anyone running for the pit.

“Horizons marks two years of refinement since our last release. The songs, the sounds, the speed, the heaviness and the production has all been stepped up,” says vocalist Winston McCall . “Working with Adam again made our job super easy as well as highly enjoyable. I think the end result is by far the best record we’ve made so far, but I guess that’s always for others to judge.”

Currently leaving trails of bruised bodies in their wake as they cross the U.S. on the Van’s Warped Tour , Parkway Drive will christen their new album this October with an Australian tour where they will be joined by The Warriors (USA), Her Nightmare and No Apologies .

Following their tour of their homeland, the group will head to Europe in November for the Never Say Die Tour with Comeback Kid , Cancer Bats , The Warriors and This Is Hell .
