New Zealand’s contrary rockers, Batrider, will finally release their debut album Tara on August 4. The band, who draw inspiration from artists as diverse as Sleater Kinney and Cat Power will deliver their misanthropic guitar meanderings to the masses this month when they take teh tunes from Tara on the road.

Since bading farewell to NZ and calling Australia home, Batrider have picked up a slew of prestigious support slots with acts such as The Dirty Three, Chicks on Speed and most recently with Robert Scott of The Clean. The snarling foursome are now primed to lay out their hearts for all to see as they trek across the nation throughout August and September, bringing with them their furious stage presence they have come to be renowned for.
