Paramore's punk pop hits thespot
Mon 23rd Jul, 2007 in Local News
Tennessee pop punk quintet Paramore are planning a trip downunder this October. Charismatic front woman Hayley Williams is sure to capture hearts around the nation as she belts out tracks from the band’s debut album All We Know is Falling and brand new CD Riot!
Paramore and Williams, first came to world wide attention in 2005 when John Hanick (Fuel By Ramen) signed the outfit to his label (already home to the likes of Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes and Panic At the Disco!). Pretty soon industry pundits at Spin were hailing Hayley as a star and even the New York Times added their voice to the clamour.
A year and a half later and the band have been continuing to make friends in all the right places with their new album cementing their reputation as a band to watch. Tix to the band’s Australian gigs go on sale August 3
