New Rules For Boats sail east
Thu 5th Jul, 2007 in Local News
New Rules For Boats are favourites of the Perth music scene, made so by their country rock meets indie pop shoutable tunes and impromptu dance-floor hi-jinks. Now, the band are hitting the road and taking it to the east.
Only playing Adelaide and Melbourne, this will be their second run of shows outside WA since they supported The Panda Band ’s national album tour last August.
The band first shot to attention across national airwaves with their folky, bluesy, honky tonk tune ‘Not Impressed’ from their first EP All At Sea . Since then, they have built a solid rep as a great live band with an infectious song-writing style.
Taking their latest EP on the road for a weekend away from Perth, New Rules For Boats have an album in the wings and both were recorded at Blackbird Studios in Perth under the watchful eye of Dave Parkin (also responsible for Bob Evans and The Panda Band). The album will be out later this year.
