ARIA Hall of Fame inducteesannounced

Radio Birdman, Brian Cadd and Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons are the next acts set to line up for their place in the ARIA Hall of Fame.
According to ARIA the latest release of inductees reflect ” the rich tapestry of Australian music and have helped make it the force that it is in our unique music culture”.

Cadd, Jo Jo Zep and Radio Bridman will be joining the ranks of music previously announced 2007 ARIAinductees – Marcia Hines, Hoodoo Gurus and Frank Ifield.

Speaking of the honour Radio Birdman offered the following comment:
“Not very long ago we couldn’t have imagined being within a mile of this event, but as Lou Reed said, – œThose were different times’”

Singer, songwriter, keyboard player and producer Brian Cadd has been in integral part of the music industry for close to 40 years. For Cadd, the induction to ARIA’s Hall of Fame “absolutely puts the icing on the cake”

Joe Camilleri’s Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons were pioneers of the Oz rock scene delivering a a ska and blue beat influence previously unseen in Aussie rock… Speaking of the induction to ARIA Hall of Fame Camilleri
offered: “After all is said and done, it’s a good thing to celebrate, and a nice thing to recognize, the fact that 30 years ago a band which was true to itself helped shape the distinctly Australian music culture we all love today”.

Saw RADIO BIRDMAN last night for the 4th time in recent years and they are very much a part of the Australian rock/ punk music legacy and history. Good on ARIA for seeing the valuable contribution Radio Birdman have made...
