Rocket Room set to blast off
Tue 29th May, 2007 in Local News
Perth’s newest rock venue will open this Friday with a huge opening party featuring bands, brews and the best rock tracks until the early hours of Saturday.
So if you’re sick of queuing up for hours to get into Amplifier or if the trek over the railway line is a bit much after a few pints, head to the Rocket Room, located in the old Blue to the Bone building opposite the Paramount on James Street in Northbridge.
From 8-10 is the exclusive industry launch party, but after 10 the venue will open it doors to the general public for the first time, with Poor Stanley, Nix and Antistatic breaking the new stage in. After midnight, DJs James Rain and Mighty Mel will be spinning the likes of ACDC, Pearl Jam, Wolfmother, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin until the sun comes up. Excited? And so you should be.
