Kim Salmon, come on Downs!
Mon 21st May, 2007 in Local News
The Darling Downs, the latest musical offering from the one and only Kim Salmon, have confirmed they’ll play their very first Perth show next month when they hit the Fly by Night in Fremantle on June 8.
The Darling Downs features Salmon (The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon) and former Died Pretty frontman Ron Peno, throwing their well-honed talents behind a collection of stripped-back country and folk songs. Released in 2005, their How Can I Forget This Heart of Mine? album was hailed as a stunning departure from the sounds of the two members’ former bands.
After playing shows up and down the East Coast, and a support slot with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds last year, the duo will perform their first WA show next month. They’ll play the Fly by Night with support coming from Schvendes and The Painkillers.
