One of the bands from the Grow Your Own incentive, Sydney’s Hailer, has scored quite a coup – sliding into the coveted Triple J unearthed number one spot this week… Sounds like cause for celebration.
According to Hailer’s press release they are “stoked” at the news and will be celebrating tomorrow night at a listening party at Ruby Rabbit with guest DJ Dan Haak from FBI spinning the album plus The Tracks and Matt Heath laying some acoutic versions on the crowd.
There were more than 300 submissions for inclusion on the latest Grow Your Own album with 20 bands eventually chosen for inclusion. The resulting album provides an eclectic glimpse at emerging bands around the country.
