If you’ve got a hankering for some good ol’ fashioned rock n roll, then look no further than Wanda Jackson. Jackson rose to fame in the late fifties/early sixties with tracks like Fujiyama Mama.
Originally a gospel singer, she took up rock n roll at the urging of her then boyfriend, Elvis. A string of hits followed the decision and Jackson became one of the most respected female singers of the time.
Jackson will land in Australia this June to perform two shows only.
Joining her on stage will be rockabilly outfit Wes Pudsey & The Sonic Aces with Limpin Jimmy and the Swingin Kitten spinning the platters between sets.
