Dude... Pimp my wheelchair
Wed 18th Apr, 2007 in Local News
If you’re a live music fan in Canberra you’ve probably seen Renee cruising around at live shows in her wheelchair. She has been a fixture in the local music scene for as long as I’ve been involved with it, a meager ten years.
Her old chair is getting a bit past its prime so the lovely folk at the Greenroom are holding a benefit gig to help Renee purchase some new wheels.
The show, on Friday 4 May, features half a dozen of Canberra’s finest local bands. Playing on the night are Barrel of Monkeys, Spoil, Dog Act, Gasma, Cold Heart Projects, and Cool Weapon. Each of the bands is donating their time and all door takings are going to help Renee purchase her new wheelchair.
As an added bonus Gaz and the guys are putting on $2 schooies and two-for-one Jaeger bombs between 8-10. Get along and help a worthy cause.
