The Model School on tour
Mon 9th Apr, 2007 in Local News
After signing a US management deal earlier this year, Sydney-based singer/songwriter The Model School, aka Brendan Wixted, will hit the road on an Australian East Coast tour this April and May.
Since releasing his debut album Alarm Clock Radiation last year, The Model School spent much of 2006 wowing audiences on headline tours and supporting the likes of Toni Collette and The Finish, Okkervil River and Bluebottle Kiss.
Musically akin to indie-rock heroes The Eels, Sparklehorse and The Magnetic Fields, The Model School’s songs combine insightful lyrics with subtle chord progressions. Alarm Clock Radiation is an eclectic album featuring melodica, sampler, synthesizer, mandolin and stylophone, along with the usual suspects of guitar, bass and drums.
Don’t miss your chance to catch The Model School at a venue near you over the next few weeks!
