Perth four-piece The Silents have signed to Ivy League Records, signalling yet another step forward for one of the country’s most promising young bands.
The psychedelic and beat-influenced band released debut EP Flicker and Flames last year and have risen to the top of the Perth scene thanks to their strong reputation as a live act. The Silents also took their tunes to the masses when they appeared as house band on Rove Live and saw single Nightcrawl hit it big on national radio.
Lloyd Stowe, Jamie Terry, Sam Ford and Alex Board will play one last hometown show at Mojo’s this Sunday with Mink Mussel Creek and Abbe May before heading over to the East Coast to support The Vines. Once the tour winds up, they’ll get back to work on their debut album, which is due for release later this year.
The Silents will open for The Vines at the following:
April 12: Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide
April 13: Prince of Wales, Melbourne
April 14: The Tivoli, Brisbane
