Gwen Stefani: coming to anarena near you

Former No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani will bring her solo act to Australia for a series of gigs at arena venues in July and August. With new album The Sweet Escape already certified platinum in Australia, the singer’s popularity is at its peak and tickets will sell out in no time.

Stefani, plus support act Gym Class Heroes, will open their account on July 28 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre before playing Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and then wrapping up at the Burswood Dome in Perth on August 7.

The mega-selling chanteuse first hit mainstream airwaves in the mid-1990s as lead singer of No Doubt with hits like Just a Girl, Don’t Speak and Sunday Morning. Stefani became a superstar in her own right when Hollaback Girl, from debut album Love. Music. Angel. Baby made its way up charts around the world. No Doubt remain on indefinite hiatus while Stefani continues to work on her solo material.
