This Anzac Day, Devonshire Street in Surry Hills will fill to the brim with punters – no they won’t be playing illegal games of two-up, they’ll be rocking out to the second annual Essential Festival.
A wealth of talented local and national indie artists and a stack of spectacular DJs will be strutting their stuff on the day. The Festival takes place across three venue spaces – The Gaelic Theatre, Four Provinces (The Gaelic Club upstairs space) and The Madison Hotel - (Devonshire Street, Surry Hills). This year’s line-up includes acts from New Zealand.
Headlining the all-day event are Sydney electro-rock Gerling, indie supremos Dappled Cities Fly, tart-pop rockers bit By Bats and the recently unearthed punkers Young + Restless..
