WA acts make an impact atCanadian Music Week

As acts from around the word converge on Toronto for this year’s Canadian Music Week showcase, two WA bands find themselves ast the centre of it all, making a dent in Toronto radio station CIUT FM’s weekly chart.

WAMi Award winning quintet Schvendes performed live on the station on Thursday before Twice the Man hit number 10 on the chart the next day. As they wrap up their CMW duties, te band will travel southeast for a gig at the Lit Lounge in New York on Wednesday night.

Also from Perth, The Wednesday Society are the other Aussie act to have hit it big at CMW. Their Making New Friends EP reached number 16 on the chart and the band will continue their quest this week when they also visit NYC to play The Annex (Wednesday) and the Lit Lounge (Friday).
