YAC it Up 2007 lineup andtimetables locked in

Birds of Tokyo and Bob Evans will co-headline this month’s YAC it Up concert at Point Walter Reserve in Bicton on March 25. And the best news? It won’t cost you a cent.

Recently named best newcomer at this year’s WAMi Awards, Birds of Tokyo are set to be one of the major success stories of 2007. They drew the biggest crowd of the day to the Essential Stage at the Perth leg of the Big Day Out and unleashed debut album Day One last month.

ARIA Award winner Bob Evans, aka Kevin Mitchell, fronted Jebediah at the festival in 2005 and will perform in Bicton again this year under his much-loved alter ego. Bob and the Birds will be joined by Fools Rush in, Gigantic, The Bullet Holes, Loose Unit and Offbeat Antics.

Gates open at 12.30 and playing times are as follows:

12.40: Offbeat Antics
1.15: Loose Unit
1.55: The Bullet Holes
2.25: Gigantic
3.10: Fools Rush in
3.55: Bob Evans
5.00: Birds of Tokyo

It’s also a good idea to make sure your clock is set back before showing up to the gig. Daylight savings comes to an end that same weekend so you’ll want to make sure everything’s in order before setting off.

Like every other year, YAC it Up 2007 is completely free  but this time things are slightly different. The event is fully ticketed and you’ll need to pick up a ticket from one of the following outlets:

Mega Music Warehouse, Myaree
- The Vault Youth Space, Booragoon (Thursdays 6-9pm, Fridays 3-7pm)
- Civic Square Library, Booragoon
- Leeming Recreation Centre
- Bull Creek Library
- AH Bracks Library, Melville
- Willagee Library
- Canning Bridge Library, Applecross
- Nova 93.7, Subiaco
