The Cat in the hat is back

The Cat Empire will take a break from their extensive international touring schedule for a one-off performance at the West Coast Blues and Roots Festival on March 31. The roots, dub, hip-hop and rock fusion band will make their way to WA to perform the opening night of the festival at Fremantle Esplanade.

Organisers have also confirmed Angus & Julia Stone, Dom Mariani and the Majestic Kelp, Carus and the True Believers, Andrew Winton, Blue Shaddy and Breakthrough winners Fall Electric.

Today’s announcement completes the bill for the event’s biggest year yet. Headlining the event are Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Wolfmother, with the John Butler Trio, Missy Higgins and Gomez also gracing the bill.

VIP tickets to the two-day festival have sold out, though single day tickets and weekend passes are still available from www.sunsetevents.com.au.
