Birds of Tokyo and Karnivool frontman Ian Kenny and The Fuzz singer Abbe May were among the winners as the West Australian Music Industry Association presented the industry-voted WAMi Awards on Monday night.

Kenny took home the prize for best male vocalist, while May, who has been enjoying recent success with her rootsy solo material, was names best female vocalist. Other winners included Gyroscope’s Rob Nassif, Schvendes and Fall Electric cellist Tristan Parr and Pendulum.

The full list of winners so far:

Best Male Vocalist: Ian Kenny (Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo)
Best Female Vocalist: Abbe May (The Fuzz, Abbe May)
Best Guitarist: Drew Goddard (Karnivool)
Best Bassist: Ben Franz (The Devil Rides Out, The Waifs)
Best Drummer: Rob Nassif (Gyroscope)
Best DJ: Dan the Man
Best Instrumentalist: Tristan Parr (Schvendes,  Fall Electric)
Best Electronic Producer: Pendulum
