Dardanelles are Home & Hosed!
Sat 17th Feb, 2007 in Local News
When Melbourne’s Dardanelles released their self-titled debut EP late last year, they quickly cemented their reputation as a band to watch in 2007. Now’s your chance to catch the boys at a free show presented by Triple J’s Home & Hosed.
Hitting the stage early, Dardanelles will be joined by fellow Aussie acts Howling Bells and The Vasco Era, for a gig that will be recorded by Triple J’s live music team.
Produced by Woody Annison, whose recent production credits include Red Riders and Children Collide, Dardanelles are all chop guitars and S&M synth slapped against a rhythm section with a disco/dirge split personality. Punk choruses snap into rave breakdowns and indie-rock instrumentals soundtrack white-rap ad-breaks.
Check out Dardanelles at these special appearances before the band’s album release later this year.
Wednesday February 21 – The Corner Hotel with Howling Bells and Vasco Era. Free Entry. Dardanelles on stage at 8.00pm.
Saturday March 10 – Click Click @ Brown Alley supported by Hancock Basement.
