Sick Of It All return toAustralia in May
Sat 10th Feb, 2007 in Local News
As one of the longest standing bands still proudly waving the flag of New York hardcore, Sick Of It All have proved that heart, hard work and dedication to hardcore is about more than just the music and an image; it’s a way of life.
The band’s real life dogma and hunger for excellence as a hardcore band have truly been ideals that fans from all corners of the globe passionately admire and identify with.
The four-piece celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2006 and coinciding with that monumental event was the release of the bands ninth full-length record (not including several EPs, singles and live recordings). Death To Tyrants, was released early 2006 and seals the fact that the band is nowhere near slowing down. Sick Of It All will be returning to Australian shores this May with anticipated support from Canada’s Comeback Kid.
Comeback Kid have proven to be an infectious force in independent music today; each show instantaneously breaking down into a tangle of sweat drenched limbs, seething to the sing-a-long choruses and punch tight musicianship.
In the spring of 2006 and after extensive touring throughout North America, Europe, Japan and Australia, vocalist Scott Wade decided to part ways with the band. Guitarist Andrew Neufeld has since stepped into the role of vocalist, and the band is now poised to unleash the follow up to Wake The Dead, titled Broadcasting.
