Beck's Verandah gets ready toopen up for 2007 festival

The Perth International Arts Festival will kick off for 2007 this weekend as Angus & Julia Stone play to a sold-out Beck’s Verandah crowd. The action will continue after 10pm, as the venue opens its doors to the non-paying public for an opening night party featuring Perth band Superengine and guest DJs.

The Verandah will be a hive of activity over the coming month, with scores of local, national and international performers set to perform to the PIAF crowds. As always, the festival bookshop will be situated underneath the Verandah, where you can get all your festival merchandise, as well as the Perth Concert Hall’s BOCS ticket outlet.

Tickets for this year’s Verandah events are selling fast, with several events already sold out. No more tickets are available for Peter Bjorn and John’s gig on February 22, while the RTRFM Pop Quiz, Dhafer Youssef and The Kransky Sisters have also sold out. Tickets for the remaining shows are available from BOCS outlets or via www.bocsticketing.com.au, except the WAMi Awards night – tickets for the ceremony are available from www.heatseeker.com.au.
